Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Aimo is built so that there is nothing to have a privacy policy about — but here it is anyway, in plain language.
What Aimo collects
Nothing. The Aimo apps (iPhone, Apple Watch, Android, macOS, and Windows) collect no personal data, no usage analytics, no crash reports, no identifiers. There are no accounts to create and no servers to sign in to.
How your data moves
Aimo works entirely on your local network:
- The phone (or watch) sends motion data and button presses directly to the desktop app over your own Wi-Fi.
- Your documents are opened and displayed by the desktop app on your computer. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or copied anywhere.
- No traffic leaves your network. Aimo has no cloud component.
Permissions Aimo asks for
- Camera (phone) — only to scan the pairing QR code shown by the desktop app. No images are stored or transmitted.
- Local network (phone) — to connect to the desktop app on your Wi-Fi.
- Motion sensors (phone and watch) — to move the pointer. Motion data goes only to your own computer.
Third parties
Aimo uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The optional LibreOffice installation used for displaying Office documents runs locally on your computer and is governed by its own license and policies.
Changes and contact
If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page. Questions are welcome via the contact details on the download page.
